Use you imagination

A great start in producing top quality portraits shots is to imagine what some of your likes and dislikes are when studying subjects. Develop a creative flow

A photographer should develop a creative flow when shooting portraits. By developing a create flow the photographer should study the photo carefully for light, color, arrangement of lines, tones and shapes. One of the most important things to consider is to make sure the subject is positioned correctly prior to each shoot. You can get a perfect look at the photograph through the cameras viewfinder. Study the eyes and tone of the body as well as the position of the subject to help maintain a positive flow during the photo shoot.

Study composition

The placement of the subject in the frame of the camera is important when it comes to portrait photography. In order to gain overall visual of the subjects elements, study the frame carefully and ensure the subject is placed in the frame correctly. For basic photography, I would suggest setting your camera to single shot mode and ensure you can see the subject directly in your frame. Some professional photographers use various shooting modes to capture their subjects such as continuous mode. Continuous mode is great if you plan to take lots of pictures, however make sure your camera are set to the proper settings.

Photo enhancement tools

Photo enhancement tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop elements are great for retouching and finalizing your images. Abobe Photoshop is one of the best photo enhancing tools on the market today. gardenThe cost of this software is pretty expensive compared to Adobe Photoshop elements. Abobe Photoshop elements can fixed over or under exposed photos in a matter of minutes. If Abobe Photoshop is not in your budget, I would strongly suggest using Photoshop elements to help improve your photos. Other things to consider while vacationing on a cruise ship is weather. Good and bad weather are likely to occur when you are traveling through different countries and surrounding areas. Always carry extra camera gear such as hard cases and weather proof bags to ensure the equipment is protected.

If you are a DSLR shooter, you might want to bring a pair of zoom lenses with wide angle telephoto zoom.
